FIRST ISSUE                                              June 14, 2006

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND.

 

The opportunities to volunteer for the February 4th event are great. Here are the details in a nutshell:

 

Shifts: A:   8:00 a.m. to 12:00                       

B:  12: to 4:00            

C: 4:00 to 8:00

 

Venues:

 

*        The NFL Experience: Volunteers will assist with the management of interactive football games and displays, autograph signings, player coach interviews;

 

*        Airports and Hotels Volunteers will great guests, NFL staff, sponsors, media and fans.

 

*        Transportation: Volunteers will direct guests to appropriate shuttles and check creddntials of NFL staff, sponsors and media               

*        Headquarters  Handle volunteer hotline, contact volunteers, distribute materials

 

*        Operations: general office duties.       (Computer Skills required)

 

All venues begin on January 27th or 28th through February 5th,  except Operations.

Operations has available opportunities beginning in June, 2006.

 

Guidelines:

 

Each volunteer must:

Ø       Complete the official application

Ø       Complete the Waiver of Liability

Ø       Complete an FBI background check

Ø       Be over 18 by November, 2006

Ø       Work a minimum of two, four-hour shifts

Ø       Attend two training sessions specific to their selected volunteer assignments and the general pep rally

Ø       Provide his/her own transportation to the assigned venues.

 

Ø       No game tickets will be made available.

Ø       No opportunities available in Dolphins Stadium on game day.

ü        Go to www.superbowlxli.org

ü        Click on the “Volunteer Service” menu

ü        Click on Application

ü        Review the guidelines before continuing

ü        The very first block is the captain’s name. Enter my complete name there: Carlos D. Coton. If you do not do so HERE, there is absolutely no connection with me.

ü        Complete all personal information fields

ü        Review Assignment descriptions and select your options. These will be honored as much as possible.

ü        If you know of someone that is interested in joining but does not have access to a computer, have him/her contact me for a pen and paer application by mail.
